Currently the e-Learning Center is configuring and testing the new environment and preparing hundreds of courses for conversion (there is no simple export tool in WebTycho). As mentioned previously, courses will be migrated in a rolling conversion, beginning with summer courses. If you have a fall semester course, you won’t see it in Sakai until late summer; courses that will run in the spring of 2012 will be loaded into Sakai in the late fall.

Summer and Fall Faculty Training Sessions
Faculty teaching in the summer or fall of 2011 can sign up for one of the courses on our April calendar.
Towson Faculty Training Sessions
Towson faculty are welcome to attend any training session at UB. However, we are also offering training on the Towson campus as well.
Training will continue throughout the next year. Although you may elect to get training long before your course is available, you may also want to complete a refresher session shortly before you begin working in Sakai.
Online Course Development Training
The Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) is an institutional and professional leadership organization dedicated to integrating online education into the mainstream of higher education, helping institutions and individual educators “improve the quality, scale, and breadth of education.” Sloan-C offers two- to four-week online workshops.
