In 2010, a faculty taskforce was charged with finding a replacement
for WebTycho; they completed a feature evaluation of possible platforms
and recommended the open-source platform Sakai as the best fit for
teaching and learning at UB. Sakai is a robust tool created by and for
the global education community to be powerful, flexible, and open. It is
used by millions of users at hundreds of colleges and universities. To

We would like to recognize the taskforce members and thank them again
for their thorough review of available platforms: James Dutt, Danielle
Fowler, Dan Gerlowski, Chris Justice, Nancy Kaplan, James Kelly, Mike
Laric, Thomas Mitchell, Harvey Morrell, Michael Shochet, Marguerite
Weber, and Laura Wilson-Gentry.
